Understanding urinary health

The urinary system plays an important role in helping the body maintain balance and eliminate waste products.

When the bladder becomes irritated or inflamed, pets may become uncomfortable and display noticeable changes in their urinary habits.

Maintaining good hydration, feeding a balanced diet, and supporting overall health may all contribute to urinary wellbeing and comfort.

Ways to help support your pet naturally

  • Ensure fresh water is always available
  • Encourage good hydration
  • Feed a balanced species-appropriate diet
  • Monitor changes in urinary habits
  • Provide regular opportunities for toileting
  • Use Uri-Tone to support urinary wellbeing
  • Consider MultiVitality Canine or MultiVitality Feline for nutritional support
  • Support overall health and resilience
  • Seek veterinary advice for persistent urinary concerns

Looking beyond the bladder

Many pets experiencing recurring urinary problems may be dealing with more than simply a bladder issue.

From a holistic perspective, recurring cystitis, urinary irritation, and inflammatory conditions may sometimes reflect broader health imbalances that affect the body's ability to maintain resilience and wellness.

Addressing the underlying factors influencing health may be an important part of supporting long-term improvement and reducing the likelihood of recurring issues.

Understanding the emotional side of cystitis

Many cases of cystitis, particularly in cats, appear to have a strong emotional or stress-related component.

Cats are highly sensitive animals and may react to changes in their environment long before owners notice obvious signs of stress. New pets, neighbourhood cats, household changes, conflict, moving house, loss, boredom, and other challenges may contribute to tension that affects overall wellbeing.

For some animals, the bladder can become one of the ways the body expresses this stress.

While supporting bladder health is important, many owners find the best long-term results come from also identifying and addressing sources of environmental and emotional stress.

For additional emotional support

For pets where stress, anxiety, insecurity, or emotional challenges appear to be contributing factors, many owners also choose:

  • Drama Queen for ongoing anxiety and emotional stress
  • Missing You for grief, loss, and emotional withdrawal
  • Fear Less for situational fears and anxiety
  • Save Me for shock, trauma, and sudden stressful events

Why Fur Tissue Mineral Analysis (FTMA) may be helpful

Many pets experiencing urinary challenges may also experience:

  • Chronic inflammatory conditions
  • Digestive concerns
  • Skin problems
  • Reduced vitality
  • Stress-related health issues
  • Recurring health challenges

Fur Tissue Mineral Analysis (FTMA) provides a personalised assessment designed to identify mineral imbalances, stress patterns, and nutritional factors that may be influencing your pet's overall wellbeing.

For pets experiencing recurring urinary concerns or chronic health challenges, FTMA may provide valuable insights into supporting long-term wellness.

How to use

Uri-Tone comes in a liquid form; this is the easiest way to administer it to animals. It can be put straight into the mouth of the animal, making sure not to contaminate the dripper. You can do this by adding the drops to a teaspoon, lifting the lip, and place in the mouth. But we realise this is not always an option. So you can add the drops to their food, which is just as effective.

Dosage: 4 drops twice daily for a minimum of 2 weeks.

How long will a 25ml bottle last: (based on the above dosage as 1 course)

Cats and Dogs: 3.35 courses per bottle

All instructions are on the bottle.

About Our Ethanol Base

At Natural Pet, our liquid remedies are preserved using organic-certified ethanol derived from a mild cane or wheat base and carefully prepared at a 10% concentration. This helps maintain product quality, stability, and shelf life while remaining suitable for daily use.

Ethanol and Your Pet's Wellbeing

Each dose contains approximately 0.4 of a drop of ethanol, an amount that is generally well tolerated by both cats and dogs.

If your pet appears sensitive to the taste or smell, you can:

  • Add the drops to food or a favourite treat and allow them to stand for 20 minutes before feeding.
  • Dilute the drops in a small amount of water and allow the mixture to stand for 20 minutes before administering.

For animals with heightened sensitivity, we recommend starting with diluted dosing and observing your pet's acceptance and comfort.

Our Commitment to Quality

We carefully select ingredients that reflect both purity and purpose. Our organic-certified ethanol is part of that commitment, providing a clean, reliable preservative system that supports product integrity while remaining gentle and practical for everyday use.

  • Helpful with my cat
My cat has Feline Idiopathic Cystitis... and I started him off on the acute dose, and then did 4 weeks of the lower dose. He has only had a few pees with blood in them, and seems to be urinating less - and it's definitely made a difference to him. We will keep going whilst I get him onto more wet food.

I havent retested her urine yet but I have no doubt on improvements for crystals. Happy and more athletic girl now but she definietly prefers it on her food as she gags from the alcohol. I wouldnt use another brand for my animals as the drama queen fixed their anxiety so well and quick
